Bob is a regulatory, legislative and design specialist consultant, who regularly offers briefs of evidence for court cases as well as reviewing new and alteration builds to identify issues in proposed designs that may create future complications for weather tightness or potential earthquake damage.
Although North Island based, Maiden Consulting review documents or sites in any part of New Zealand, via email and travelling to sites as and if required.
We can also assist with developing and auditing the technical functionality of a company’s performance and output for technical matters that need to consider building legislation and some regulatory input, along with providing training for in-house staff

He has worked for the Wellington City Council as a team leader in the residential building section; employment with the Auckland City Council as a quality control officer; and for Hastings District Council and Napier City Council as a building officer and building compliance officer. After the Christchurch earthquakes, Bob worked for Fletchers EQR as a construction supervisor, and then joined the Maiden Group as Design and Compliance Manager.
He is very familiar with the regulatory procedures and processes around building consent applications, amendments, inspecting building work, and issuing interim and final code compliance certificates (CCCs) under the Building Acts of 1991 and 2004.
